As with a similar review the plastic handle broke at the point where the handle swivel attaches to the cutting head. This is an engineering design flaw as the weight of the battery install at the top of the handle shaft is too heavy and causes strain in the swivel joint. For some reason I’m unable to sign in to my account and do not have a copy of my order. I only have available a copy of my Visa statement showing a Home Depot purchase on May 23, 2022 in the amount of $349.15. As I’m still within the warranty period please advise re resolution.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheaply made / breaks easily I used this about 6 times before the trimmer head snapped off. Trimmer head is all plastic inside, it got weak and snapped while mowing my lawn. Trimmer isn’t well designed/ reinforced to support the weight of battery when attached to mower and stresses from pushing the mower forward on grass. Mower works ok especially for a small lawn, i like how compact it is/ 2 in 1 feature. I was a little frustrated finding myself going over some spots multiple times because it doesn’t get all the grass the first time. Returned to Home Depot and buying a traditional mower.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weak plastic garbage Shaft on the weed wacker snapped off from the trimmer head the second time I used it. Ryobi’s warranty covered the replacement fortunately. After using the new one about five times the same thing happened again and this time the warranty won’t cover it. Total waste of money. If you only need to mow a small lawn very slowly and carefully with no bumps, this thing is fine but it can’t seem handle any kind of movement beyond going perfectly straight on flat ground which isn’t realistic. Never buying this brand again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for small lawns The trimmer itself works as well as expected, not complaints there. Using the base to mow the lawn is good if you have a small lawn. Have a spare battery ready to go, and having this thing on for 20 minutes will drain it. Also suggest angling the handle as low as you can comfortably manage it when mowing, so that youre pushing forward and not down. The base is springy so if you push down, it can get stuck or cut that patch shorter than the rest. Go slow and back and forth on areas like a vacuum.

Nous avons acheté le coupe-bordure/tondeuse 3 en 1, et bien que le concept soit véritablement innovant, la qualité du produit laisse grandement à désirer. Après seulement 5 utilisations, le coupe-bordure s'est brisé, ce qui est inacceptable pour un appareil de ce type. Lorsque je me suis rendu au centre de réparation, on m'a informé que la garantie ne couvrait pas ce genre de dommage, sous prétexte que j'aurais donné un coup. De plus, le coût estimé des réparations est plus élevé que celui d'un appareil neuf. Le véritable problème ne vient pas de moi, mais du design du produit lui-même. La conception est défaillante : il y a trop peu de plastique pour soutenir la base, ce qui est insuffisant pour supporter le poids du moteur, qui est lourd. (voir photo). En conclusion, je vous déconseille vivement d'acheter ce produit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good alternative for tiny lawns. Good alternative for tiny lawns. It's lightweight and plastic, like a power drill, so you can lift it with one hand. It's bit noisy at startup: it auto-feeds about 1/4" or filament every time you start/stop and the filament hits the casing for several seconds. Still, I like the fact that this has a very small footprint and is easy to move. If the grass is not too overgrown, I can cut a 10'x10 patch on a large-size (4A) battery. The main trimmer is easy to remove from the base and be used as a traditional 12" edge trimmer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent trimmer, ok "mower" for small yards Its a decently powerful trimmer ( but should be a bit more for this application). And if you have a small yard ( think like condo style townhouse) and you are good at trimming every week, then the "lawn mower" attachment will work ok. But you cant let the grass get too tall, otherwise it gets bogged down, take the attachment off. I would also recommend that if you are using it as your "lawn mower" to use the thinner string that will work in the unit ( I think it comes with like 0.8mm string, and there is 0.6mm available) that should help it cut the grass cleaner and faster.
