Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing performance I am a new DIYer who has been experimenting since last winter. I wanted a sander in budget and knew Dewalt is a very good name in the industry. I wanted a Cordless though but ended up getting this corded one and do not regret my decision. It is amazingly effective and very good performance wise. I can surely live with the cord for such performance. The only thing I wish though was to have slower speed on setting 1, sometimes its too strong even at speed 1.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Orbital Sander Sander worked well for trimming the edges on baseboard to get a smooth finish & dust collector certainly helped to contain the dust. Pleased overall

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Variable Speed Orbital Sander To be honest I haven't used this sander yet. It was bought to replace one that I've had for over 20 years. If you're buying an orbital go the extra $ and get this variable speed model it is great for furniture prep. Stockyards price even when not on sale is more then reasonable in my opinion.

do you have a belt for a dewalt dwe6421

do you have a belt for a dewalt dwe6421
Asked by: Duke
The deWalt dwe6421is an orbital sander. It uses sanding disks that attach to the pad on the device via velcro (hook and loop). This is not a belt sander. This is a great sander...until the velcro surface on the pad gets contaminated with sanding debris (how could that happen?!?); then the sanding disks won't adhere to the pad. I used an old toothbrush to clean the pad and that seemed to work. So, if you have this or any other orbital sander that uses sanding disks that adhere via velcro and they won't stick, try cleaning the pad with a brush (stiff nylon bristle or perhaps even a wire bristle).

Hi, Is it possible to attach this sander to "home vacuum" cleaner Kenmore/ Panasonic type , instead of using attached dust bag? Thank you

Asked by: VicS
Hi VicS, Yes, you can attach to other vacuum systems. Here are some specifications: Dust port is designed to fit directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors or to attach dust port to other vacuum systems with 1-1/4-inch hoses, use DWV9000 universal quick connector

How long can you use the sander (DeWalt DWE6423K) before the vibration is annoying?

Asked by: Greg
If using over head it’s gets annoying but manageable, I sanded stipple ceiling down to the drywall in my whole house with it, arm gets a little sore but I’d image as would any orbital sander. If using not over head using the sander is not annoying at all

What is tool bag measurement? Can I fit a DEWALT recip saw DCS380B inside the tool bag?

Asked by: Alex
The saw won't fit without having the nose of the blade holder sticking out. There are a ton of great tool bags that will work if you stop by the store.

Most of my sanding is on oak cabinets. I have never used an orbital sander. My questions is: will the marks made by the orbital sanding show up in the finish?
Asked by: Gary
If you mis-use the sander and use the wrong grit sandpaper - yes, marks can be visible. Try practicing on scrap material first before using it on your cabinets. Really fine grit sandpaper to finish your project will give you the smooth finish you need.
