Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost unusable I have just attached the injection ports and filled the crack. I have used the other dricore crack products in the past where the tubes were a two-tube system with a fancy caulking gun which I had to purchase. The old system was hard to dispense the product. This is new single tube system is near impossible to dispense. I am a large 6'1" 220 lbs man with a fairly decent grip strength. Even with two hands, the product dispenses as if it is already hardened. I haven't used my expanding filler tube yet, but if it just as hard to use, this product is useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy fix This patching paste was exactly what I needed after pulling up some old flooring and finding a crack in the concrete underneath. Following the prep instructions the paste was easy to apply and working with the product was fairly easy to be tooled as needed. This was a quick and affordable way to make the patch. Rather than having to buy a bag of dry patch and mix with water this one was premixed of course so much faster to install and a lot less mess. Also saved from making either too much or not enough which usually happens when you use alternatives that require mixing. Overall pretty happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for small concrete repairs For small hairline cracks this first step in a 3 part system should get the job done. We had small cracks in our Harare that allowed small ants to set up home. By following the well laid out instructions on the product packaging we were able to close up the cracks and inhibit pests from making their way into our garage space. For larger openings the system has 2 more steps and corresponding products to seal those larger openings. Speak to your Home Depot Associate to be clear on how many steps you should follow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was so easy to use!!! I have a storage room in my basement that has a couple of cracks in the concrete. Nothing structurally wrong with it but they were just an eyesore. I used this stuff on the cracks to get rid of eyesore. It was so easy to use and went on like a typical tube of caulking. So far everything is fine. There is no cracking or shrinking of the product and it seems to have done the job. The colour difference between the concrete and the product is obvious but i can live with it as I know the cracks are sealed up. Overall I am happy with the product and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well! I got this product a couple of weeks ago to repair and fill some cracks I had in a foundation wall. It worked well to seal up the crack line and install the injection ports needed for the next step in the system, which was injecting a filler into the crack (separate product). This product self mixes as it comes out the nozzle, making for less mess and clean up needed later. The tube fits in a regular sized caulking gun, but it must be a heavy duty gun, as it still requires and good deal of force to get it out of the tube. Remember to keep the product warm for easier dispensing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dricore Crack Prep received sample to review - we do have concrete work which can use similar product but this particular "crack prep" (after reading the manufacturer's product spec) is for preparing the surface to be repaired to receive the injection port and injection epoxy. There is small print on the cartridge - for attaching injection ports and sealing crack prior to injection. so just the product itself without the step 2 and 3 is useless. Will need a large demo / sample board in the store telling buyers which one to use first and which one next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Easy To Use Product Living in a 152 year old post and beam farmhouse with a stone foundation. Cracks in the foundation can appear at any time. This time I tried the Crack Prep Surface Paste sent to me by the Home Depot Seed program. Well am I ever glad they did. It turns out there is a variety of Dricore products that should be used in sequence to obtain a permanent repair. This first product is crack prep surface paste. Using this product on a few cracks that have been leaking when we get a good rainfall have stopped the leaks and have even stopped moisture from seeping through tiny cracks in the foundation. I will now have to finish with Dricores carbon fibre reinforcement to seal the repaired cracks and make sure that the process is permanent. Thanks for a great product Dricore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective and simple to use I decided to use this product last month to patch a crack in our cold room in the basement. However, I had to wait a couple of few weeks for the water to dry up. This is not a visible area in the basement and the water leak is not bad. I wanted to see how well this product works without the additional expanding foam product. After cleaning the area, I applied the Crack Prep surface paste all the way from the top to the bottom. I used my taping knife to spread the product as required around the crack. I checked it the next day and the product had cured. It has been a couple of weeks since the application. I have not seen signs of humidity or water yet coming through the area where the crack is or on the floor below it. The product has worked but time and aging through the Spring rain will give me a better picture. Overall, the instructions are clear to follow and the product is easy to use. It does not require a lot of expertise or tools to apply. It appears to have solved a problem that would have cost me much more to repair. I certainly recommend the Dricore Crack Prep surface Paste product.

How long does the paste take before it starts to set up.

Asked by: mrco
Hello mrco, Per the installation instructions available here: https://dricore.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/DRICORE_Crack_Injection_Kit_Instructions_EF-small.pdf It may take 12-24 hours for the epoxy to cure before you can remove the ports. Hope that helps!
