Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works very well I have a very long gravel driveway. Since I plow during the winter, there is usually a lot of gravel that gets pushed off into the grass. This paddle broom helped a great deal getting the gravel back into the driveway. It "sweeps" the grass and pushes everything in it's path without harming the grass. It was a terrific time saver this Spring. It is pretty heavy and it would be nice if it came with a wheel assembly option.

Much more effifiant than the bristle attachment which can be used on a lawn but the bristles seem to grab more in a lawn making it more tedious to use than the paddles. The paddles glide over the lawn while getting even the smallest pebbles while leaving the grass undisturbed. I had three inches of sand in some areas and after going over just a couple times, the lawn was as clean as it was before the sand was there. A good rain later and no one knows the wiser. I have both the bristle attachment and the paddles, the bristles I use on pavement and walkways and the paddles on the lawn. Put together, you can clean up all the winter sand in a short time and enjoy the rest of wyour weekend.

I used it on about 4-5 inches of snow and was amazed at how easily and quickly it cleared the snow right down to the concrete - cleanly. Use the harness or you will get quite a workout. It also works very well clearing a path through the lawn without damaging the grass. It does the job much more quickly than a snowblower, but the time I saved was taken up with explaining and demonstrating it to the neighbors who came out to see what I was doing. I probably could have sold 3 or 4 of these in front of my house today.

While it worked, it was great for removing gravel from my lawn after a winter of plowing. Saved hours of time spent raking each year. Unfortunately, it literally broke in half today. Why Echo thinks a plastic shaft could handle the torque of this paddle is beyond me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Acorn remover Just want people to know that I have researched several blowers, vacuum sweepers, yard vacuum/chipper/shredder, etc. that would remove acorns from the lawn with at least 95% efficiency and I can state in all honesty the propaddle attachment does the job. It does not ruin the grass, but moves the acorns from my lawn to sidewalk and driveway for easy pickup. Thank you Echo for a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time saver After an icy winter and having to spread sand all over my drive way I had quite a chore ahead of me having to sweep it all up. My wife talked me into buying a sweeper and I'm glad I did. I was able to sweep my 150'x30' drive way in about 45 minutes. It swept down to the tar and left very little debris to even bother with. My only complaint is with the maintenance instruction. I don't remember the name of the part, but I'll call it a differential. It comes with a sealed cover, but the manual says to break that seal and fill it with oil before every use. Makes no sense to break a seal if nothing is leaking in my way of thinking. I called my dealer about it and he said not to worry about it. That should be clarified. Other than that, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best handheld tool out there to remove rocks If you live in the northland such as myself. As soon as the snow melts the work begins cleaning the lawn. Rocks left in the lawn from the road commission sanding and the plow guy clearing the drive. The PAS paddle attachment is about the best attachment out there for the job. I used to do lawn care and had one of these and a sweeper broom. The paddle attachment got used 3x as much mostly because the rocks were always in a ditch or a place where you couldn't maneuver the sweeper. It is a little bit of a workout running the attachment as it pushes against you while your running it but is way faster and better at getting rocks off the lawn a rake. The only other item that can even compare would be a commercial grade backpack blower.

This a great attachment which will make quick work of Spring Yard cleanup. Winter leaves its' calling card on our lawn come spring. Our road frontage property tends to get peppered with sand and gravel spread on the road over the winter. The snow plow beating down the banks sends this traction aid all over the lawn. After the snow melts and the ground dries, this ProPaddle attachment makes it easy to get the sand and gravel off the lawn so that it can be shoveled up and added as ground fill. This tool is so much easier and more efficient than a broom and the rubber paddles are easy on delicate new plant shoots.

No, it doesn't. The paddle attachment has an attached shaft that attaches to PAS series powerheads, which have a straight shaft that separate in the middle. The SRM trimmer head is removable at the end of the shaft, and can be replaced with an edge head for example. Also, the SRM225 wouldn't have enough power even if you could adapt the shaft somehow.

Yes it can be used to remove snow. My husband uses it for the porch and cemented walkways but he only does that when it's a few inches. The entire unit is kind of heavy I don't think I would be able to operate it. That is also why my husband only uses it on smaller areas. For the larger areas or a lot of snow he gets out the snow blower.

I am looking to purchase this for my dad- do you just buy the attachment? Or do you also buy the trimmer? I know he already has one (not an echo) but if that helps get the rocks out easier.. Also- most of this will be used in ditches- as they live along a major highway. Is it easy to push up small ditches? Thank you!

The PAS Paddle Attachment is only the attachment. In order to use this attachment, a compatible Power Source would need to be purchased as well. The current model which is compatible with this attachment is the, PAS-2620. The PAS Paddle Attachment is a commercial grade grass/sod cleaner. This attachment has been shown to clear rocks, stones, walnuts and many other things from grass and sod surfaces.

The PAS Paddle Attachment removes water, stones, sand and debris from concrete, lawn and landscape surfaces. This attachment may be used to clear a very light snow but it may not be effective with larger accumulations.
