Rated 1 out of 5 by from Noisiest hinges in the universe No amount of lubrication can make the springs in these hinges quiet. After I installed them I realized that I don't need them on my screen door anyways since the door closer will pull the door closed. I'll be replacing them with 'normal' hinges.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way too loud, tossing them out. Installed early fall 2020. They technically work for our screen door, but they are way too loud. Lubricated with every form of lube graphite to lithium including straight-up grease. after 2 or 3 uses, its right back to making crazy noise. I will be replacing them this fall.

Silly question, but how to you use the pin to set the spring? I have the hinges in place but there is no tension on the spring and the package does not explain what the pin is for or how to use it.

The packaging includes a longer steel pin which is used to adjust the tension. The hinge first needs to be installed in the desired location and then you insert the longer rod to adjust the hinge tension. Once the tension has been established, you insert the shorter pin to hold the desired tension.
