Yesterday I needed to cut a piece of plastic pipe. It cut it very cleanly with virtually no burrs left on the pipe.

1600 max RPM

Our machine has the Blade RPM at 3450, so I'm assuming this blade would not work for our Whirlwind Inc. Model 1000 pop up saw. I can't seem to find any saw blades with this RPM. Would this blade still work or do you have any with a higher rated RPM?
Asked by: Patchwood
Sorry it should NOT be used in any saw faster than 1300 rpm, or its max 1600

Check your RPMs on your saw, this blade is used at MUCH slower speeds and cannot be run higher than 1300 rpms

No... if your chop saw runs faster than 1300 rpms as most do, you can not use ANY of the evolution blades

will this cut heavy duty cast iron pipe

Asked by: plumberpat
It will, but how long the blade lasts is another story and the blades are $$$$. I’ve owned two different DRY cold cut saws over the years (gone now) and I’ve decided not to get another. It’s too easy to burn up a blade.

Asked by: cuppy
Yes, just take a little time on the cut. It will be faster and cleaner than abrasive cut. At the end when you are cutting the last 1/4 inch use light pressure and let off 2 seconds 2 seconds pressure.

i was thinking of buying this to cut #5 rebar. will rebar ruin the blade

i was thinking of buying this to cut #5 rebar. will rebar ruin the blade
Asked by: keith
Do not buy to cut rebar. I bought the Rage 14in to cut rebar but the metal blade wore out way too early, definitely ruins the blade. The Dewalt chop saw with a 14in abrasive wheel works best and it’s what I currently use. I cut about a ton of rebar a day.

Will this blade cut stainless steel tubing. .065 wall?

Asked by: SNBF
It will cut stainless steel tubing but it's not design for it and won't last but for maybe 50 cuts but evolution sells a blade design for stainless steel which last 4x longer as long as you cut slowly and don't allow the RPMs to drop too much

Can it be use to cut regular steel like squared tube with a wall thickness of 1\8 or round pipe with a wall thickness of 3\16 or less

Asked by: John
yes I use it to cut inch and a half Square 1/8" wall and I can get several thousand cuts as long as you go slow and do not allow the RPMs to drop to much and it'll cut 3/8" × 4" flat bar standing up
