The Hinge Relocation Kit, is a backup plate and hardware which allows you to place hinges or anchor plates where ever you want them (ie: in spots that are not already drilled and tapped for them). You will be required to drill your own holes in the dock frame.

Made from 1/4" thick aluminum, and c/w stainless steel/brass hardware

If you are able to tap your own holes, then the Hinge Relocation Kit is not required.
