You would need to purchase a track joiner or a barn connector, however I do not believe they are sold in any other color other than black.

What is the maximum door thickness that can be used? As well, what is the distance between the wall and rail once installed?

We do not recommend anything larger than 1 3/4" door thickness. If you do not use a backerboard, the distance from the wall to the rail is approximately 34mm or 1.3".
