Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea, not so great implementation The smart panel system is a great idea, but the insight into what your loads are doing is very limited. All you can really see is price per day or kWh per day. I wanted to monitor my hot tubs duty cycle throughout the day to see how it changes with environmental temperature and hot tub temperature set point. You can see present current consumption, but you can't plot or export minute-by-minute or even hour-by-hour data. I swapped my entire main panel to Leviton, specifically for the smart panel features, but it seems like The Energy Detective (TED) might be the better way to go. I bought 2 smart breakers to test out the system, not sure I'll buy any more unless they can update their software to give me more insight. On the plus side, the data hub appears to be very reliable. It never disconnects or has communication problems once setup correctly (which admittedly took a few tries). But the reliability is an important aspect, as my Rheem water heater with wifi has both limited features and also an unreliable connection, making the entire thing useless. At least Leviton got the reliability part right.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The device fails to detect many of the breakers. ... The device fails to detect many of the breakers. you can't manually specify a smart breaker is in a slot. manually specifying dumb breakers has the location as the lower number. when they're detected you have to specify the larger number for a dual pole.

what if wifi goes out? how does the unit respond to that?

Asked by: serg

For multiple panel installs, do i need one of these modules for each box? For example, if i have dual 200A main boxes and 100A sub that is 100’ away.

Main boxes are co-located next to each other. If i need 2 or 3, will they all work on the same app/account and add up usage together?
