Rainhandler rain-dispersing eavestroughs protect your home and the environment from the harmful effects of ice, snow, and rain. Rainhandlers mount below the roof slope and are unaffected by snow slides. The open-louvre design prevents buildup of snow and ice by breaking up heavy sheets of water into small drops. These drops are deflected away from your home where they fall harmlessly to the ground in a 2 to 3 foot band.

  1. Rainhandler returns runoff back to rain size drops which fall naturally to the ground
  1. Each section includes attachment brackets and wood screws
  1. Self cleaning by design means leaves and debris fall through slats or blow away
  1. Works with almost all roof designs and materials
  1. Replaces traditional eavestroughs and downspouts
  1. Less soil disturbance means reduced debris(pollution) flowing into local streams, rivers, and other public surface drain systems

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved my problem of mulch erosion The RainHandler came complete with everything for a quick installation. Had one overhang section which was only 5' wide that continually eroded the foundation bed directly below. The drop was about 8' from bottom of overhang to the flower bed. Once the RainHandler was installed (simple screwdriver installation) the rain is now dispersed about 2' on to the walkway. Still watered the flowerbed but not with the force of the prior waterfall coming down without the RainHandler. One other point to make is that I purchased the natural aluminum unit not the painted unit. Was able to spray paint the entire unit with a good Rustoleum paint to match the beige color of my existing trim. Blends in perfectly with the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product! Easy Installation! I have a steep roof valley that was washing out the dirt below during a rain. I have decided that the mfg install guidelines did not fit my application, so I installed diagonal in the corner under the drip of the valley. During a hard rain, the water would overshoot, so I installed a double width of the rainhandler. I cut the rainhandler at an angle to fit to the faca on the house. Works great now to disperse the water and keeping from washout below and under a concrete walkway. LOVE this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this looks way better than the traditional gutters...adds curb appeal to your home Of course I was skeptical about purchasing the Rainhandler but I'm glad I did. It rained very hard yesterday and I watched the rain being dispersed out over the ground as opposed to it going in one place with a drain. No more climbing up to clean gutters!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought just one section to give it a try. I did quite a bit of research into an affordable gutter system. This system seems to be a fit for me. Instead of having the roof rain water drop on the ground in one spot, it instead spreads over my landscaping evenly.

I purchased rain handlers for the back of my house aprox. 10yrs ago and had them installed because I don't handle heights that well. I think they do an amazing job! They disperse the rain as advertised and I never have to clean gutters. Conventional gutters cost a fortune, are labor intensive to install and require a ton of maintenance or fancy gutter covers to prevent leaf buildup. Not so with these Rainhandlers. I like 'em!

Order the bundle pack because it's cheaper. These go up like a breeze but follow directions and measure. I suggest you go buy stainless steel white head screws about 1 1/4-1 1/2" because the screws that come with it will never hold the snow and ice load. Also, buy the over the door runoff strip for any doors....you will be glad you did BUT make sure put it on when the roof is warm/hot. Contrary to others statements, these WILL NOT eliminate ice dams....the ice dam will grow right over these but will melt faster on a warm day than gutters. Download the installation sheets and measure your facia etc. to be sure these will work for you. The distance from the gutter to the Rainhandler is an important spec.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to install works as stated. It rained and the rain was diverted into sprinkles. No more ugly gutters and down spouts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the future. Goodbye ugly useless gutters. This product is by far the best thing for rain. I told all of my friends about it. They saw it in action. Now they are ordering this for their homes.

We dug a 12" trench and filled with small rocks approx. 3' from foundation to handle water overflow.

How well does it work in areas that receive tropical downpours?

I am considering installing these in the Houston TX area. We frequently receive brief and sometimes sustained heavy downpours. How well does this product handle these types of heavy rain?
Asked by: Cgeorge77388
The harder it rains, the better it works. It works better with heavy downpours.

How do you connect the corners?

Asked by: Pete
The instructions (link in the description) include details outside and inside corner installation. For both, one side extends to the corner, the other butts against it, no miters. For inside corners an additional roof valley diverter is specified. https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/23/23cd485e-5eb8-4e63-b746-4f29d69a74c3.pdf

Replaced guttering on north side of the house with rainhandler. Dug 12” trench 3’ from house and filled with rocks to catch the rain. Seems to work ok. I live in southwest, hope this helps you.

how do you deal with corners?

Asked by: Bruce
Corners are pretty rare with this type but if you have to do them you could just use tin snips and miter the fins. Or just end them flush with each side and leave the corner open because there would have to be a ridge running down to the corner which wouldn't have much water flowing on top anyway.

Is it best to weatherproof the screw holes on installation?

I live in rainey Florida and the moisture is a problem, especially when it gets into wood and you get wood rot on your fascia and then you have to replace the fascia. Is it best to apply a silicone sealant to each pre-drilled screw hole before attaching the mounting brackets? Or, just apply the sealant over the screws after screwing down the brackets? Or, maybe this isn't even necessary because the screw tightness will hold the bracket tight enough to not allow any water to seep behind and into the screw holes? Just being extra cautious and I don't profess to be a handyman. Thanks, Paul in Tampa
Asked by: Pstreicher
Short answer, Yes! I applied silicone caulk to the screw holes immediately before mounting the brackets. Works great!

Does it work well with a tin roof with a two inch hangover

Asked by: Tony
I have a 1" hangover on my asphalt roof and during a light rain the runoff falls in between the fascia and rainhandler. When I get a heavier rain the runoff travels faster and falls away from the fascia making the rainhandler work better. So a 2" roof hangover should be better because the rainhandler sticks out about 1.5" away from the fascia to about 4.5". So it should be good in light, moderate, and heavy rain. Hope that answers your question.

Asked by: woody
Typically the runoff shoots over the rain handler. Now a deflector can be installed on your roof to slow the runoff.
