Rated 1 out of 5 by from End of Life; End of Support We purchased this product in 2019. It worked for a couple months, then it stopped. It would connect to WiFi, but would not complete the process and connect to 'Servers.' I was reading forums and there was supposedly a fix coming out. Come August 2020, we called and learned that the firmware they shipped out was faulty and they do not have any plans to fix it. So, basically, these things are end of life, end of support, and won't work with the Ryobi app without the new/correct server configurations, which aren't available. However, I did recently learn that if you're into home automation it does appear the cameras can be repurposed to work with some video security software via ONVIF/RTSP on port 554. I might continue to tinker with utilizing this protocol or hobby it out and try to power a 3rd party camera off the accessory port.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont bother When I bought the garage door openner and the camera it worked very well. Then the problems started. Ryobi said they were doing an update to the camera and would send a sd card with the update. Camera has never worked since then. I have followed the directions and I hook to my router and modem but has never been able to hook up to ryobi to finish the upgrade so uesless item and I have been trying since late Jan 2020 when I recived the sd card from them that was needed to do the upgrade and and have never been able to get a hold of Ryobi. the garage door openner also has issues went two days were only the remotes from our cars would open or close the door. have done all the batterys still nothing then it just started working again so I tried the camera upgrade was hopeing that might work nothing. The Idea is a great one but there follow thru on this product was bad and still is. after two years I am thinking chamberline is coming soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from All I want is this to Work! This device does not work. It will not connect to the internet or the Garage app or the Ryobi Servers. I called Ryobi and the rep on the phone told me, "there is no solutions or fixes at this time to resolve your issue." I also emailed Ryobi with no responses back on any update about the camera. I am very sad/disappointed that this is happening and I wish we are told something soon about a fix or a new app or something. Thank you

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t Connect To Server I bought this camera in November of 2018, and Ryobi “updated” their servers for it, so it no longer connects/works. They said it was an iOS issue, but come to find out it is also an issue on Android devices. So far this has been a six month issue with no solution. New camera will not fix it, nor did their firmware update SD card. Don’t waist your money for a crap product.

Loved ryobi garage because of this feature but if I can't get it to work the I would buy a different brand that would be more reliable. Ryobi please fix. Issues: Going through the whole process until the end after wifi connects to router it then times out when trying to connect to server. It then gives me an error that it can not connect to the server and try again later. It never connected. I left a comment on the ryobi app on google play but dont know if the company is working on fix. Read reviews on different site and notice many people are having this issue.

It no longer connects to the server on the app. I see there is an SD card they need to send you for an update (that apparently may or may not work)....no thanks. If you have to send an SD card, that means you have junk programmers and junk hardware. I have two openers. The first crapped out 14 months later and the second one is starting to act like the first one...it opens when it wants, it opens but won't close (via app) or it does not work w/wall switch or sometimes it does, etc. The camera is just another bad design/product. I love Ryobi tools but this thing was designed by a tool. DO NOT PURCHASE any of the Ryobi Garage Door Opener or Accessories. I finally replaced my first one w/a real name brand and it has worked like a champ ever since. I will be canning this second one this year. Buh Bye Garbage.

I installed the camera 4 weeks ago and it wouldn't connect. Called Ryobi and they sent a SD card. Still can't connect

App says the camera is connected but cannot find the gateway

They changed a server configuration a while back. We finally contacted them and learned the firmware they sent out to customers to update the server configurations was faulty. They do not plan to have a fix. If you can get to talk to the right people, they'll offer to refund you if you send it back with your receipt.
