Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plastic pieces and large pieces of wood I have used this soil before (in the smaller size) and found it to be great for a number of garden uses. Recently I purchased 20 bags of this soil and I am now finding small plastic pieces of varying colour as well as pieces of wood//twigs, the largest being about 5 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. I suspect that Scott is now using a different supplier. The bad side of this is that the plastic will forever be in my garden It will never decompose. The twigs will disappear over time. I would suggest that Scott looks at the suppliers operation very closely as you never know what else is making its way into the bagged soil.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plastic and large and long sticks Previously I was buying 28.3l bags and the soil was pretty clean. Now I moved to another place with a huge land to take care off. Bought 20 bags of 42.5L because thought that it would be cheaper to buy bigger bags to cover more terrain, however I got very frustrated from the first bag used to the last. All contained many pieces of plastic and long sticks. In some cases long and large pieces of wood. What I learned from this experience is that bigger bag you buy, bigger/more junk you will find. What a waste of money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I thought I bought black mulch not lawn soil I just bought 4 bags this week and when it was emptied into the wheelbarrows, there was so many twigs, branches, plastic and other unknown items, I thought I bought black mulch by mistake. I dont know what type of screens are used to filter this soil, but it is not doing a very good job. My lawn looks like I spread mulch all over it, not soil. It looks like the free compost available at our local recycle station and not an enriched lawn soil, unless enriched means sticks and twigs and plastic bits, This is very disappointing, I expected more from Scotts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What gives???? Purchased a few bags yesterday to help kick start my lawn and as I started spreading it I saw that the soil contained a lot of wood chips and other debris. What is that all about? So I went on line and saw that a good number of other folks experienced the same thing. Shame on you guys for putting out such a crap product. So today instead of a relaxing Saturday I'll be busy raking all this stuff out and replacing it with some proper soil. Never thought I could get such crap from Scotts....I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Totally disapppointed decision of buying this soil I baught this on 10th may 2020,Don’t get fooled by word Lawn Soil, recently I bought 4 bags for my front side lawn patching , as it is small area of lawn. After opening of each bag and spreading over lawn I found all pieces of varying colour as well as pieces of wood//twigs, and trail scrap, more than 30% of said soil is waste paid premium price for Brand name and now regret over decision. Should have bought local garden supply soil, at least you can see what you paying for. Very disappointed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sticks and wood pieces with dirt coating My initial impressions: I am shocked that I paid a premium price for something that appears to be made out of shredded sticks and wood with a dirt coating. I understand that topsoil will contain some larger particles, but this appears to be excessive. Near me, the city of Vaughan is currently filling new street side planters with topsoil (for trees and bushes), and it looks nothing like this. It is all finely screened soil without debris (wood chips).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality, Full of Mulch Bought several bags of this as a top coat for the lawn and for some overseeing - there are far too many pieces of mulch and sticks in this which I'm now going to have to rake back off my lawn before i can cut it, its definable nothing like whats on the front of the bag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product!! There was so much large wood chips and sticks of bark, not to mention plastic bits mixed in with this so called Enriched Lawn Soil! Do not buy! I still have to painstakingly remove all the non-soil bits from my lawn. : (
