Cross Dowels are made of steel and are available in various diameters and lengths. Cross Dowels are manufactured with a slot or combination drive to enable orienting the dowel to the Connector Bolt in its blind hole.
Threaded inserts provide permanent machine screw threads in wood, plastic, soft metal or other porous materials. Threaded inserts are often used to replace worn wood screw or metal screw holes that have become oversized due to wear. Installed with a machine screw, bolt, hex key or screwdriver for those types available with a slotted head. Use flanged type inserts to prevent pull-through.
