Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent inflator, waited a long time in Canada! Great little device. It's a little noisy but it does what it says. The dial in a PSI auto feature is awesome; and fairly accurate. This works well with even the 2amp batteries, and includes a 12v DC to plug into your vehicle, just in case. The quick release chuck is nice too, saves the annoyance of trying to thread a small valve. This thing beats the crappy analog gauge ones that you have to fight a cord both unravelling and winding up each time. Lifetime service agreement to boot. It's been super useful on all my vehicles so far, and even dust some light dusting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quick-connect not a good idea Overall the Ridgid Inflator works ok. Sure it's noisy, and the weak LCD display is 1990s, and it doesn't show accurate pressure while inflating - but those are minor issues. The major issue is that its quick-connect hose design is garbage. Half the time it either fails to depress the valve pin properly or fails to seal and leaks air. Often it takes a couple of attempts to get a usable connection, and on some apparently-normal valve stems it won't work at all. Schrader valves are designed for a screw-on connector that works reliably every time. If you're going to design a custom quick-connect mechanism instead, you'd better make sure it works reliably. The Ridgid one doesn't.

A fraction of the size of most inflators so easy to carry around. Most I've taken it to was 50 psi but that's all I need. Comes with a 12 V cable for cigarette adaptor but I just carry around 4Ah battery for ease of use. I've helped numerous people already inflating flat tires and they all are in awe of the portability and ease-of-use. They all say they're going to get one, but they probably didn't so they will need me again. They have a 10 minute duty cycle five minutes on five minutes off but in five minutes you can do a lot of inflating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ridgid Inflator I ordered online and had it shipped to the store. I am very happy with the purchase. I have used both 18v batteries and the 12v DC car adapter and both methods work well. The cord for 12 volt is long enough to do both tires on one side of my full sized truck. Manual and automatic shut off work well. The only complaint I have is that the compressor can be loud, but what tankless isn't. I have a slow leak from the valve and lose 2 lbs a week. It has come in handy when I need to add air away from home. It will pay for itself not having to use gas station air. Not to mention who even has change anymore since covid. I might get one for my wife's car the next time they're available.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Failed after 3 short uses. Inflator worked fine for 3 short uses, now the digital pressure reading has become intermittent. The inflator now shows 1 psi while inflating and will happily explode the tire in auto mode by ignoring the desired pressure setting. As a further insult, the Ridgid tool warranty registry still shows most of my tool purchases as 'pending review' (a.k.a. no lifetime warranty has been authorized even though tools were registered within the prescribed 90 day window).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool. Works well. Very impressed with this inflator tool. The auto inflate setting is very convenient, set the psi pull the trigger and walk away. The compressor will shut down at the desired psi. I have a big compressor, but this is much easier and fills quicker. No long hose to wrap up, no more waiting for the large compressor to have enough pressure before starting. I’ve only used this with a 2.5Ah NiCad battery and a newer 2Ah lion. Both styles hold up well. I have not yet tried the 12v plugin option but appreciate this is an option. Great tool, grab it when it’s in stock. You’ll appreciate it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New favourite tool! Is it weird that an air inflator is my new favourite tool? I just got this and have already used it everyday (mostly for fun). The auto fill makes getting the right pressure easy. I've used the presta adapter on my bikes and this even works at low pressure for basketballs, etc. If you're in the Ridgid ecosystem, this is a must buy. Only downside is that it is never in stock.

I am an avid kite boarder and would like to inflate my kites with this tool.  My kite is about 4 cubic feet and inflates to 8 psi.  Would this tool be effective for this low pressure task?

You are correct, it means it doesn’t include battery and a charger.  However this does include a 12V cigarette adapter so you can power it from your vehicle.

It’s a high pressure inflator, not high volume. It’s strongly recommended not to use this for inflating kayak/air mattress.
