Rated 1 out of 5 by from the worst thermostat I have worked with quite a few thermostats, and this is the worst. It has up to 3 to 7 degrees C between the on/off triggers. That means if you want it to always be at least 21C, you may need to set it to 26-28. Incredibly inefficient and the huge heat fluctuation is also very uncomfortable. A good thermostat will have a tight 1-1.5 degree variability. We installed 100 of these in the building I live in, and every one should be replaced. This product should be banned due to it's energy in-efficiency.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy it I bought his thermostat last year and the temp accuracy was between 5 and 8 deg. C. I put up with it thinking that the problem was the baseboard heater. I just replaced the baseboard heater. Save your money and buy a Honeywell for less money.

The only thing I don't like is the difference between the on and off temperature. Two of the stats are about 2-3 degrees between on and off and one of them is 6 difference and the other is 10 degrees differenc

What is the maximum ampherage this unit can handle at 240 Volts?

I have 3-4ft older baseboard heaters controlled by one thermostat. Thanks
Asked by: bob
The product overview says 16 amps . 16 times 240 would mean its rated at 3840 watts.

Can this be used with electric baseboard heaters and how do I know whether to get a single or double?

Asked by: Anonymous
Good morning, Yes this can be used with baseboard heaters. Single pole means there is no definite off position on this thermostat, a double pole has a definite off and the heater will not cycle on whereas the single pole thermostat will begin to heat when the thermostat reaches 5 degrees Celsius or 41 degrees Farenheit. I was looking for a wall mount thermostat for my shop heater. It's a radiant tube heater that is fan force natural gas.

I wanted to know what is the difference between a double pole thermostat and a single pole.
Asked by: Champ
The difference between the 2 are as follows: Single pole thermostats breaks only one side of the power line to your heater and cannot be turned off; therefore, power is continuous to the heater even if it is not running. The control knob will have a low temperature setting without an off position. Single pole Thermostats uses only two wires. This means that even if the temperature dial is turned all the way down, voltage is still going into the heater through one line. This may pose a hazard to anyone who might perform electrical work on the heater without realizing that the circuit was still on. You will need to turn off the power at the circuit breaker before electrical repairs can be made safely. Double pole thermostats breaks both sides of the power line; therefore all power to the heater is interrupted. This acts as a safeguard for people performing electrical work on the heater. However, to be on the safe side, you should always turn off the power at the circuit breaker, not at the thermostat, before making any electrical repairs. A double pole will uses four wires and has a off position on the thermostat. Since they are inherently safer, you should always try to use double-pole thermostats, if possible. Another advantage of a double-pole thermostat is that you can turn it completely off and the heat will not come on no matter how cold your room gets. But with a single-pole unit, the thermostat will turn the heat on even if set on the lowest setting.

When I turn the dial higher or lower I can hear a click like it is working but the heater does not come on.

Are there adjustments to be made or is it just easier to just replace it.
