Flaw is that it is now a different look and texture from the rest of the lawn and there was not nearly enough in the container to cover more than 3 burnt patches. Good product but probably won’t recommend due to the amount you get for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not quite as advertised I bought one of these and one of the other Scott's products for lawn repair. I used the pet repair first and put it on the pet spots on the lawn. It was pretty much all seed. I didn't realize it was supoose to contain as much of the other ingredients until I used the other product. Not sure if the seed by itself will patch the pet spots. If I knew it was only going to be just seed, I could have bought that for a lot less.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely works to grow grass in stubborn areas! This is the only seed I have found that will work on my yard, to grow grass in the areas my dogs has peed in. It works great!! The only reason I do not mark this as 5 stars is because it is much more expensive that other grass sees for the quantify you get, and does not come in bigger containers. It takes me about 8 of these to overseed my very small yard enough that the grass will grow in, which is costly.

The affected area is a year ago and I don't have much idea about taking care of the lawn. Does this product work on an affected area a year ago? What do I need to do before applying this product?

The high urea content from dog urine from a year ago, most likely has washed out of the soil. Prepare area by removing dead grass and loosen hard soil. Apply EZ Seed Dog Spot Repair so the area is mostly covered, but the bare ground is still visible. When watered the first time the mulch in EZ Seed will expand hence the reason they should still see bare ground when initially applied.

can you use it on a full lawn that is bare from the dog and snow.

Scotts EZ Seed Dog Spot Repair Seeding Mix can be applied in any bare areas of your lawn. Prepare area by removing dead grass and loosen hard soil. Apply EZ Seed so the area is mostly covered, but the bare ground is still visible (1/16" to 1/8").

Why do you sell it in a size fit only for 1 to one-and-a half spots? Unless you are speaking of a dog who visited a yard once, you need to start with a purchase of a half dozen of these dispensers. Absolute minimum size should be 2kg.

Hi I have new sod laid. Would this product prevent burns and patches from pet urine if used consistently as a pre-treater? If not, is a product recommended to help sod fight against pet urine?

Thank you for your question regarding EZ Seed Dog Spot Repair Seeding Mix. This product contains Gypsum which neutralizes the salts in the dog urine. The salts in the dog urine is what kills the grass and makes it more difficult to replant the area. when to apply lawn patch

Is it a good time to apply the patch during a steady/light rainfall? Or, water in during a non-rain day Just added some soil to affected areas. and as it raining now thought it might be a good time to apply to mix

For best results we suggest applying this product while the area is dry, and then watering it in with a slow deep soaking after application.
