Rated 1 out of 5 by from As usual i should of just made it myself 2 out of the 4 connection were pissin. Im so sick of garbage manufacturing. Yes I know its only for a sump, but if you cant glue a proper joint together, then don't make it or sell it. I was so ticked off that I didn't just buy the parts myself and take an extra 2 mins. to make it. I don't like it when I use a product and it makes me look bad. When someone sees that it looks like I don't know how to glue a joint together. The stupid thing was $25 bucks and IT LEAKED ! Manufacturers get with it ! My feeble grandmother could of done better! If I wasn't 35mins away from civilization on the job I was on, I would of went back to HD, got the parts and done it right. Stop making complete garbage!

The work space is dark and cramped and of course, with a non working sump pump water is coming in and slowly filling the space around me. In the past I would gather the parts, measure, cut, piece together all very time consuming and frustrating. This time I discovered the quick connect pipe. It comes assembled, ready to install and has the check valve and all other parts already installed. I attached the quick pipe to the pump, lowered the pump into the well, attached the quick pipe to the discharge pipe and was done in a matter of minutes. This device is worth every penny.

This was a huge time-saver as it included all of the necessary connections, back flow preventer, and weep hole all in one. It is 1-1/2" male tip to fit most sump pumps. I had little to no clue how to install a newer sump pump and this was worth the money for me. All I had to do was add a little thread tape and turn it into the discharge on the pump. From there, simple adjustments were needed and my pump was ready to go. The rubber seems like quality material and the connections are already pre-glued so they are water ready out of the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product works but wrong thread size for Basement Watchdog Pump My Basement Watchdog Pump uses a smaller thread size than what is provided on the threaded end of this Quick Connect Pipe. You can use either 1 1/2" or 1 1/4" PVC pipe with the Basement Watchdog but the thread size on this Quick Connect Pipe is too large so I had to saw off the threaded end that was provided and cement it in place to the male threaded adaptor.

When my sump pump went out late on a Sunday evening, I ran to Home Depot just before closing to pick up a new one. I also grabbed this Quick Connect Pipe. I probably could have reused the old check valve but for a few bucks more I thought a replacement check valve would be inexpensive piece of mind. Could you buy these components separately and assemble them yourself for less? Probably. But man this product sure was convenient. Especially when I was performing an emergency sump pump replacement. No fittings to buy, no pipe to cut, no primer & glue. Easy peasy.

Threaded correctly into the 1-1/2" NPT connection on my Wayne 1/3 HP pump. Tall enough to put the check valve just above the sump cover. Correctly assembled, no leaks. Rubber check valve provides flexibility and isolates vibrations from the rest of the line. And for the reviewer who gave it a bad review because "it had a hole in it, they even marked it, and they sold it anyway" (or something like that), it is SUPPOSED to have that hole. It is a weep hole to limit air-lock when the pump restarts, and recommended by most pump manufacturers. On the outside of the box, the illustration showing the features of the assembly clearly shows and labels the weep hole, red dot and everything, Nothing wrong with this design.

I needed to put in a sump pump due to flooding and I didn't have any experience in installing a pump system. The product simply screws into the pump and you can connect it to 11/2" PVC.

This WOULD have been a perfect solution however, there was a HOLE drilled through one side of the PVC. Apparently the manufacturer even MARKED the hole but decided it was good enough to charge $25 for. The need to complete the project in a timely manner led to taking it apart and using what we could, so I can't even return it. CHECK THE PRODUCT FIRST - DO NOT PURCHASE ONLINE!!!!!

I am having difficulty getting this screwed into my brand new Wayne CDU980E. I have resorted to using a pipe wrench to try to screw it in but I still can't get it to go all the way in. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?
Asked by: Novice
I don't think it needs to go all the way in, mine only made it maybe 4-5 full turns and seems watertight, but beware that the lower connection on the union (the rubber piece with two metal brackets) may not have been tightened when assembled, and needs to be before you operate or test your system.

I'm having a hard time understanding - is this just a piece of pipe with threaded fittings, a checkvalve, and a Fernco coupler? Because that's all it looks like.
Asked by: WD
That is exactly what this is, with threads sized to install onto our backup pumps. It is all preassembled with a weep hole to prevent airlock as well (indicated by the red line). For more information, please contact our customer support team at 800-991-0466, option 3. We are available to take incoming calls from 9am – 5pm CT Monday through Friday.
