Will this torch head go out if it is tilted or turned upside down

Asked by: Hogleg
Nope. I've tried a number of times to use it inverted. The flames either immediately goes out, or the blue 'jet' flame changes to a weaker standard orange flame.

Does the flame go out when I release the trigger? Or do I need to turn the adjustment knob to shut it off?

Asked by: Gary
No, you have to turn the knob to off. The trigger is just the igniter

Hi. My self ignite quick working. It works fine if you light the gas with a match, but will no longer light itself. Is this an issue that i can fix?

Asked by: Shaw
Hello, and thank you for your question. The issue you are likely experiencing, based on your description, is that this torch is designed to be used upright, as it does not have a pressure regulator to control the flow of fuel through the torch. When used inverted, fuel will pass thorough the torch and extinguish the flame, hence the ignition issue you are now seeing. Our TS3500 and our cast body torches (TS4000, BZ4500HS, and our TS8000) all have this pressure regulator in them. This model, and some of our other solid brass torch heads are designed for other use cases like plumbing or soldering that work best with the torch head upright. We can easily be reached at: Bernzomatic@WorthingtonIndustries.com if you have any additional questions. Thank you.
