What size wrench is needed to connect hose to tank? None of my wrenches fit and I don't want to ruin the brass connector. The manual only says to use a wrench. Very helpfull.

Has anyone tried to melt snow with this? We have a courtyard in heavy snow country and moving the snow out of the courtyard by shovel is very difficult.

Yes! It’s exactly what I bought mine for. The snow plow packed snow under and against a 53’ old school bus. It saved my back from trying to dig it out.

Bought my 2nd torch and it won't connect to any of my tanks. I know how to do it, left hand turn, but it only goes in about four rotations and locks up. Tried three different tanks thinking the inside threads might be stripped or smashed down. I'm afraid to turn past the point it is now because I don't want to mess up the threads. Reall frustrated. My last torch worked great several times but then stopped connecting also. Bought the new on because I thought the threads may be bad - and same thing. I tried some anti-seize lubricant from when i changed my spark plugs and that was no help at all. Any advice?
Asked by: Scott
Most newer tanks are not reverse threads anymore. Hope that helps.

I tried connecting the torch to a 20 lb tank but the fitting seems to be very tight while trying to thread it in and was worried about ruining the threading on the tank and/or the torch, has anyone had this same problem?
Asked by: Frank
Being this is a unit that is a propane torch, it should be a tight fitting so there won’t be a gas leak. Mine was a tight connection. Once connected, before ignoring it, check the connection for leaks with a soapy water solution. If there are bubbles, there is a leak and it would be extremely dangerous to ignore it.

will this thing help get rid of those dang GOATHEAD stickers?
Asked by: Azrage23
This is a blazingly hot propane torch. It will incinerate goathead stickers but certainly anything else it comes in contact with. I wound use sparingly and probably not for this cause. I'm sure there are effective herbicide remedies.

People reading the reviews and answers to questions need to understand that they are written by people like you and me; just average customers who happen to like writing reviews. If you have a question about store availability you should call the specific store in your area rather than asking the General Public.

I bought the torch kit but my propane tank fitting will not connect the torch hose

Asked by: TJ
Not sure what tank you are trying to connect, but ti will not work with those tiny Depot propane tanks. It connects to those big 5 Gal(?) propane tanks like you use for cook grills.
