Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple fine adjustments for deck Used these on my main support beam for easy of leveling. If you are using poured concrete footings then you have to be accurate with your layout plan. Once you set these upside down into the concrete you cannot easily move them. The paint on the metal is thick and tough. The "U" is about 1/4 wider then standard Stacked 2x material so you'll need a shim to fill the space. Use some caulking at the base of the adjuster nut to prevent water leaking into the shaft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must Have for Floating Decks I needed a tool that would help adjust heights with a raised floating deck. It also allowed me to fine tune beam heights during early construction. Our local store did not carry them so I had get them on line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product Nice to use for adjusting posts/beams for your ground level deck-only improvement i would make is two holes per side for attachment options

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Durable Enough I used 2 of these for a 12 x 12 deck. I put the beam (two 2 x 10 nailed together) right in the brackets, rather than use a beam on a post, since my deck is very low. The brackets were on 10 inch footings, 48 inches deep. While I was adjusting the frame (2 x 8), the weight of the frame pushing against the beam flattened the brackets! These things need to be made more durable. I don't recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These just make things easier.. Seriously. This generally make life a lot easier especially for low floating decks.

It was suggested that I use these mounted in cement to make a 6 foot fence more stable..... would that work better than getting a taller post to put deeper in the ground. The fence panel is made from cedar 1X2 cedar stripping nailed directly to the 4x4.

Asked by: Bonz
Hello Sir, These product is to be used as en load bearing devide only as the saddle isn't fixed to the bottom, it not meant to be used for an fence at all. For your 6 foot fence I would recommand to use the Heavy Duty Spike 44 : https://www.homedepot.ca/product/pylex-pylex-heavy-duty-spike-44-black/1001312350 Anything else, please contact us by phone or email. 1-800-263-1881 ext. 102 or info@pylex.com Thanks

If using w/cement filled Sonotubes, is this product meant to be placed IN the cement or ON top? If in the cement, how deep should it be imbedded? If on the cement, should it be attached with what size bolts or screws? Is there a preferred way?

What's the best way to install this support under an existing 4x4 post currently sitting in a deck block and bearing weight from the deck above?

Asked by: Dave
Hello Sir, You will need to jack your deck to remove the weight from your 4x4. Then you will be able to install the Adjustable Deck Support 44. Once done, just remove the jack, and level your deck with the Adjusment available with the Adj. Deck Support. Anything else, please let me know. Thanks
