Rated 1 out of 5 by from BE CAREFUL This glue gun has no way to regulate the temperature and it gets unbelievably hot. It also eats through glue sticks because you need to put another one in the slot to keep up pressure on the glue stick its using once that original stick gets to the halfway point. Maybe this is supposed to happen with a "hot" glue gun but if that is the case the item should be properly labeled as such.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No issues at all None of the glue guns out there had great reviews so I went with the least expensive option assuming the trigger would not work etc. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it worked perfectly. I used it for about 3 hours and aprox 7 glue sticks worth of time. Turned it off twice for aprox 20 min to do something else and then plugged it back in to continue. It worked wonderfully throughout. The only product improvement I would suggest is the stand. The work I was doing required me to pick it up and put it down constantly. The stand is very small so at times the gun would tip over. If you push down on it slightly when depositing it, it usually will stay up though.

It doesn't grip the glue stick to go inside the hot metal shaft. Expected more because this is a Stanley brand ended up not returning it because its just 5$.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GOOD FOR SMALL JOBS [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gun is good for small jobs but definitely not made for larger ones (after using this gun, I purchased a large version of it). I had to manually push the glue stick in to get it to come out of the gun melted as it would not automatically feed. If you have large hands as I do, it may be a little difficult for you to handle this gun easily since it's so small. However, it is a very useful piece of equipment for smaller household chores and hobbies.

I have owned 3 glue guns in my life so far & I believe the lower ratings of this glue gun are unwarranted as I've always had to push the glue stick in after the gun is warm to get the glue to come out even with a larger more expensive one....that's no big deal. It's a great price and I love the small size for easy storage. Simple & works great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Awkward to Use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first use of a glue gun ... so perhaps I'm the problem ... but I was not impressed by this glue gun. A small piece of wood was split from my night stand. Thought this would be a good test of the glue gun. Th instructions said to set the gun at the HOTTEST setting for working with wood. However, though the instructions on the packaging reference this switch, no such switch exists on the glue gun. I inserted a glue strip and waited about 5 minutes for it to heat. While I repeatedly pressed the toggle, no glue came out. I had to use my thumb to push the glue stick thru the gun to get any onto the wood while depressing the toggle. Meanwhile, the toggle throttle became very hot. Either I'm totally incapable, or this glue gun is not very user friendly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tiny and Flimsy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this online, and was not really prepared for just how small it is. It is quite diminutive--would fit in the palm of your hand. In part, that means that its feed rate is really slow--you have to pull the trigger a whole bunch of times to get a large area of glue covered, and by the time you've squeezed out that glue, half of it has cooled and solidified. Maybe it would be useful for gluing really small things one at a time? But even at that, the feeding mechanism is quite flimsy. I found that the trigger only worked for me about 50% of the time, as it often fails to engage the glue stick.
