We were so happy to get to try this product as we'd wanted to have one of these locks for awhile. Let me just say, this was super easy to add to our door! It literally took about 15 months beginning to end! And it looks sharp (or really will once we change out our doorknob to match, but thats no big deal!) Best part is no more fumbling for keys! Its also amazing if a family member comes over when we have stepped out; they can let themselves in without searching for a hidden key. Setting up the code is extremely easy too. All around great product, think we're going to do the back door next!

It took a bit of some time to install, there was some frustration but after watching the instructional video a few more times we got it figured out. Also tip for anyone else, use brand new batteries. We tried to use some batteries that were in our house that we did not know how old they were. The lights would turn on but when we tried to program a code it wouldn't work. So it needs brand new powerful batteries.

I only wish I also had the matching door handle to make it a complete set. Coding the lock was easy, and I thought it was neat that you could code multiple codes to open the lock. This could come in handy if you had multiple people who are a stickler for a certain number combination. Keying the keyhole was also easy and I was able to use my existing key. One of the best features is that it will self lock after about a minute of no movement. So if you came home and forgot to lock the door, the lock will do it for you!

The keypad was so easy to install, and my favourite part is different family members can have different codes for the door that they are able to remember (up to 50!). I also love that when someone needs a code for a one time purpose dog walker, cleaner, neighbour etc you can give them a code and then remove the code when they are finished without confusing everyone else that needs in. Install took about 10 minutes, locks securely, and looks great. Highly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Lock, Prepare to be Annoyed Very disappointed. This lock worked great for 3 weeks, I had the auto-lock function turned on from day one with no issues until recently. Now, every 3 minutes it tries to auto lock itself even if it’s been locked from the outside or locked manually on the inside after coming home. It will try to lock every 3 minutes and beep and make annoying sounds. It somehow has lost the signal to know when it’s already locked. The fix was to just leave it unlocked and let it auto lock itself, which worked fine until yesterday. Now, even after auto-locking itself, it still tries to lock again every 3 minutes and it can’t understand that it’s already locked so the beeping and sounds continue every. 3. minutes. VERY annoying, I have tried several troubleshooting attempts. 0 stars, extremely disappointed. Will be ripping this out and throwing it in the garbage.

I received this product through a voxbox campaign and installed it at our side door. We had another similar product before this one, which worked but not as well. The motor to actually lock the door stalled a lot and it took a couple extra seconds to lock than the weiser. The weiser is sleek, was easy to install, and works really well. Honestly, we’re really happy with this and will likely get a second for the front door.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very loud lock This is our first smart lock and it works great and is super convenient. Unfortunately, it is really loud, and I hate the sound. I will go to the door to manually lock it when people leave just so I don't have to hear it. We have had it for about 6 months and it has been loud since day one. The one at the store was quiet, not mine though. I emailed the Weiser help line and they just told me it is a robust motor and should have a certain amount of volume - not helpful. It is installed correctly and the lock operates smoothly, with no friction. UGH.

When mounted on an unheated unattached garage, will this lock survive another Polar Vortex with -40 temperatures? I cannot find it's operating temp range. Inside would be -20c and outside COLD!

Is there an indicator when batteries low? Or how do you know? Also so you suggest lithium batteries?

When locking/unlocking, the low battery alert will show on the exterior keypad with 10 red flashes with 10 beeps. Make sure to use the recommended Alkaline batteries only and not rechargeable or lithium.
