Why Insulate Your Home?
HVAC Efficiency
New wall insulation adds protection against the elements and prevents fluctuating indoor temperatures to reduce wear and tear on your HVAC system.
Lifetime Results
Once your retrofit is complete, your new insulation will last 15 – 20 years before any replacement is needed. Kept free of major damage, new insulation can last as long as 80 – 100 years.
Energy Savings
Poorly insulated roofs, walls, gable ends, and foundations allow heat to escape outdoors, forcing your furnace to consume more energy. Installing new insulation with a high R-value can reduce your annual energy costs by as much as 15%.
Comfort All Year Round
Over time, water damage, pest infestations and mould reduce your insulation’s ability to regulate and distribute heat evenly through your home. New insulation stabilizes indoor temperatures, providing comfort in winter or summer.

Proper Insulation can Save you Money
Many Canadian homes lack adequate wall insulation and roof insulation, which can end up costing homeowners more money on their energy bills in order to keep their houses warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Adding proper home insulation can save you money and help you use your energy more efficiently. There are many insulation types to choose from, including spray foam insulation, fibreglass insulation, cellulose insulation and more.
Properly insulating your basement can keep it comfortable all year long. Your basement can be notorious as the coldest room in your house. However, you can stop that by properly insulating it against all the weather fluctuation outside. When installing batting on an inside exterior wall, it’s important not to compress it in past the end of the studs. Your insulation should fit snug all around and reach to the top and bottom of the space. When installing batting around wiring or plumbing, split the batting where you can, running one side behind and one side in front to ensure insulation around all areas. You can also stuff small batts around areas like plumbing, vents, windows and doors.
Attic insulation can also be a trouble area, one that can be remedied using blown-in insulation. Once your attic is properly insulated, you’ll be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer without using extra energy.
