Shop for regular in-store stocked products online and save the shipping charges associated with home delivery.

It also helps expedite any time-sensitive projects since there’s no need for you to find and pay for your product(s); when you arrive at the store everything will be ready for you at the Special Services desk.

Ship To Store

For items not in your local store, we offer Buy Online, Ship to Store. This service features thousands of items that can be shipped free of charge to your local Home Depot store when you order online. 

Choose the Pick Up in Store option during online checkout and select your desired store for pick up. You will be notified by email when your order is ready for pick-up.

Free In-Store Pick Up is for select products only, you can view these products that qualify through the individual product information pages.

Product Exclusions Include (but are not limited to): live goods, special order products, reconditioned products, cut products, nuts ‘n bolts, appliances, assembled options, custom SKUs, mixed paint, special offers with limited inventory, products that are exclusively available for direct-to-home delivery.

Just Follow These Easy Steps:

  • Place your order on
  • Choose the Pick Up In-Store option during checkout and select your desired store location for order pick-up.
  • If you will not be picking up the order yourself, assign an alternate pick-up person.
  • You will receive two (2) separate emails - an initial Order Confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order, followed by an In-Store Order Pick-Up Notification email when your order is ready at a Home Depot location.
  • Bring your In-Store Order Pick-Up Notification email, your order number and a government-issued photo ID to Home Depot to pick up your order.

In-Store Pick-Up is Valid Only:

  • At the specific store selected when the order is placed.
  • During store business hours. Please confirm store hours of your selected Home Depot location prior to pick-up.
  • For orders confirmed via In-Store Order Pick-Up Notification email.    

In-Store Pick-Up FAQ

*Available at participating The Home Depot Stores in Canada. Most items will be ready for pick-up within two hours of the time the order was placed. Specific items may take longer due to inventory availability or complexity of order. Please wait for your In-Store Order Pick-Up Notification email before visiting the store for order pick-up. This excludes special or bulk-sized orders and is not valid on statutory/civic holidays or delays due to unforeseen circumstances.

Returning Online Orders is Free at Any Home Depot Store Within Canada

For your convenience, items purchased on can be returned to any of our Canadian stores within 90 days of purchase. Bring the item(s) with a copy of your shipping confirmation email to your local The Home Depot store for credit to your original tender or a The Home Depot store credit. Merchandise must be returned in unused, like-new condition. Please click here to see Return Policy Exceptions for further details.

Online returns can also be made by calling 1-800-628-0525 within 90 days of purchase. We'll arrange for your item to be picked up and returned, as well as provide you with a return authorization number (RA#).
