Appliance Delivery FAQ

What are the different types of Appliance Delivery?

Our appliances can be delivered via different methods depending on which brand you are purchasing. Appliance delivery can either include:

Online Only Delivery: A contactless curbside or doorstep drop-off that requires no signature, no pre-delivery notification, and no in-home services (such as unboxing, installation, or haul-away).

Major Appliance Delivery: A white-glove, in-home service that includes unboxing, placement, debris removal, basic hookup (on select products), and optional haul-away. This method requires an adult (18+) to sign for delivery and provides a 4-hour arrival window the day prior, plus a call when the driver is en route.

Delivery and Installation Requirements: Appliances & Laundry

What is a Basic Appliance Hookup?

  • A basic appliance hookup is a standard placement and connection service completed at the time of delivery. Basic Appliance hookup is only available on products delivered through our Major Appliance Delivery service.
  • It includes positioning, leveling, connecting to existing compliant utilities (power, water, vents), and conducting a quick operational test.
  • It strictly excludes any recommended installation parts (you must purchase them prior to installation and have them available for the hookup) and any home modifications, such as electrical, plumbing, gas, cabinetry, or venting alterations.

What is the Difference Between Installation and Basic Hookup?

Basic Hookup: The delivery team connects the appliance using your own brand-new parts (which must still be in their unopened, original packaging). Basic Appliance hookup is only available on products delivered through our Major Appliance Delivery service.

Dryer Exception: A dryer vent is required for a basic hookup, but it is acceptable if it is not in a retail package as long as it is new.

Installation: An all-inclusive service purchased at checkout. The delivery team brings every single required part, valve, and line, and handles the complete setup from start to finish.

What is Included in all Basic Hookups?

  • Delivery teams unbox the appliance (except for protected items like dishwashers, unless requested), inspect it with the customer for visible damage, and remove all packaging waste.
  • The team will position the appliance in its final location, level the unit, and install handles or minor accessories if applicable.
  • They will connect the appliance using your own brand-new parts (which must still be in their unopened, original packaging) and perform a basic plug-and-play operational test.

Basic Appliance hookup is only available on products delivered through our Major Appliance Delivery service.

  • The basic hookup for refrigerators includes standard placement, leveling, plugging the unit into an existing outlet, and performing a basic functionality check.
  • It includes connecting a braided steel water line for the water dispenser or ice maker, provided the shut-off valve is accessible and within approximately 4 feet.
  • The service strictly excludes running any new water lines or modifying cabinetry and existing cut-outs.
  • The basic hookup for electric ranges includes standard placement, unit leveling, and a basic functionality test.
  • It includes plugging the range into an existing, compliant 240V outlet.
  • The service strictly excludes electrical upgrades, outlet changes, and the installation of slide-in or built-in units.
  • The basic hookup for washers includes standard positioning, leveling the unit, and performing a basic functionality test.
  • It includes connecting new hoses directly to your existing, compatible water supply lines.
  • The service strictly excludes any plumbing modifications or the installation of new water valves.
  • The basic hookup for electric dryers includes standard placement, leveling the unit, and conducting a basic functionality test.
  • It includes connecting a new dryer vent hose directly to your existing home vent.
  • The service strictly excludes the installation of new venting systems, such as rigid metal vent installation.
  • The basic hookup for freezers includes standard positioning and leveling of the unit.
  • It includes plugging the appliance into an existing power outlet.
  • The service concludes with a basic functionality check to ensure the freezer is running properly.

Additional Services Customers Can Purchase

Booking & Core Add-ons: Customers can request paid add-on services at the time of purchase, which include like-for-like removal and recycling of an old unit (at delivery or installation) or door swing reversal adjustments for fridges, washers, and dryers (can be purchased in-store).
