In most cases, your dishwasher installation can be completed in 2 hours or less.

No. With Basic Dishwasher Installation, Home Depot Installers will only hook up your new dishwasher in a location that has already been fitted for one.

• Installing a dishwasher in a new location requires preparatory work, likely including the services of a plumber and/or electrician. 
• For any additional plumbing or electrical work, please connect with our trusted Local Pros prior to installation

All required parts are included in the cost of your Basic Dishwasher Installation service.

Our Installers will not install a new shut-off valve and will not route supply or drain lines through cabinets other than ones containing the sink base.

• No modifications to existing structures, plumbing, electrical work, countertops or cabinetry will be performed to accommodate your new dishwasher.
• Haul away and disposal of your old dishwasher are not included unless purchased separately.

If you would like your old dishwasher to be hauled away, our ‘Haul Away’ service can be purchased prior to checkout.  Upon delivery of your new dishwasher, we will haul away your old one.

No. Our installers can disconnect your old dishwasher for you before installing the new one. 

No. Delivery and Installation services are arranged and scheduled separately from each other. 

• Customers are advised to take their scheduled/expected delivery time into account when booking an installation appointment. 
• If Haul Away is purchased without installation, your old dishwasher will be taken away or moved when the new one is delivered.

The appliance comes with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty. In addition, you may choose to purchase an Extended Service Plan at any time within the first year. 

If the appliance arrives with visible damage, ask the delivery agent about the Save the Delivery process. Once explained if this is not something that is acceptable to you we recommend that you refuse the delivery and indicate ‘refused due to damage’ on the bill of lading (BOL). Otherwise you have up to 48 hours from time of delivery to notify The Home Depot at 1-800-759-2054 of any concealed damage.

If you notice a defect (not damage) in the appliance after the 48 hours, this becomes a warranty issue. Please call the manufacturer’s warranty line. This is not the responsibility of the installer.
