To install an OTR microwave in a new location requires preparatory work, likely including the services of an electrician. Not included in basic over-the-range microwave installation. Will delivery and installation be completed in one visit?

As over-the-range microwave installation and delivery services are arranged and scheduled separately from each other, they cannot be completed in the same visit. Customers are advised to take their scheduled/expected delivery time into account when booking an OTR microwave install appointment. If Haul Away is purchased without installation, your old microwave will be taken away or moved when the new one is delivered.

If the appliance arrives with visible damage, ask the delivery agent about the Save the Delivery process. Once explained if this is not something that is acceptable to you we recommend that you refuse the delivery and indicate ‘refused due to damage’ on the bill of lading (BOL). Otherwise you have up to 48 hours from time of delivery to notify The Home Depot at 1-800-759-2054 of any concealed damage. If you notice a defect (not damage) in the appliance after the initial 48 hours, please contact the microwave manufacturer to determine next steps. This is not the responsibility of the installer.
