Pineapple Chicken Skewers on the Grill

Bring Hawaiian flavour to your chicken skewers with a homemade pineapple marinade recipe and grilled pineapple chunks. Use stainless steel metal skewers to grill chicken kabobs for 8 – 10 minutes on the BBQ and enjoy.

  1. Step 1 Prepare Chicken Skewer Marinade

    In a small saucepan, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, pineapple juice, garlic, pepper, salt, water and cornstarch.

  2. Step 2 Reserve Sauce for Glazing

    Bring to boil about 1-3 minutes until the mixture just starts to thicken. Remove from heat and reserve ¼ cup of the sauce for glazing.

  3. Step 3 Thread Chicken Skewers

    Marinate the chicken in the sauce in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Thread the cubed chicken onto skewers along with peppers, red onion, and pineapple. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Step 4 Grill Chicken Pineapple Skewers

    Grill for 8-10 minutes until the meat is done to desired liking. Remove from the grill and baste with reserved pineapple glaze sauce. Garnish pineapple chicken kabobs with chopped cilantro, if desired.
