Is it Time to Repair Your Deck?
It can be difficult to know when your deck needs either repair or replacing without a professional assessment. A Local Pro is qualified to repair or replace your deck with new joists, railings, floor boards, hardware, and more. The following signs are the most common reasons for deck repair or replacement:
✔ Rotten Joists
Softened, decayed wood that shows signs of wear or water damage is an indication that your joists are rotten and will likely need replacing. Connect with a qualified Local Pro to discuss options for your deck repair needs.
✔ Loose Railings
Loose deck railings indicate the need for rail replacement or securing to prevent potential accidents. Hire a Local Pro and take the hassle out of your deck railing repairs.
✔ Unsecure/bowing Boards
Over time, planks in your deck can become weathered, resulting in bowed, warped or unsecured boards - clear signs that deck repair is needed. A licensed and insured Local Pro near you can help!
✔ Improper Concrete Piles
Deck posts should be anchored in concrete but over time standing water, leaks, and excess moisture can result in the need to replace concrete piles that support your deck. Connect with a Local Pro for a qualified assessment and results.
✔ Uneven/sloping Deck
A sloping or sagging deck could indicate a potential termite problem, water damage, or the need to replace aging planks on your deck to properly support your weight. A Local Pro has the tools to professionally assess your needs and repair your deck.
✔ Rusted or Broken Deck hardware
Deck fasteners such as nails, screws and anchors can become loosened or corroded, further compromising your deck’s structural integrity. Contact a Local Pro to evaluate the extent of repairs you’ll need.

- Do you want added privacy or a striking style that compliments the architectural features of your home? Deck railings are your opportunity to personalize your deck with a sense of style as well as functionality
- Deck railings offer endless possibilities for adding an element of flair to your deck while providing added safety
- A Local Pro can help you choose from a range of deck rail options including drink rails, craftsman railings, glass panels, wrought iron, web panels, or cable railings

Deck Stairs & Ramps
- Deck stairs can be functional and minimalist or stylish and elaborate. Planning access points to your deck is crucial to determining the best location for stairs or a ramp

Deck Pergola
- For those extremely hot days you’ll need adequate shade for your guests while grilling and entertaining on your deck
- Available in wood, vinyl, metal, or composite, a pergola can be both decorative and functional by providing cover from rain and excessive sun exposure. A sloped roof on your pergola allows rain and snow to drain more easily

- A Local Pro Deck Builder can help you choose a privacy screen that compliments your décor and protects your privacy outdoors
Deck Drainage System
- A drainage system is essential to keep your deck dry and minimize the effect of rain, snow, or spills. Multi-level decks in particular benefit from an under-deck drainage system that can be installed to prevent water seepage
- With a reliable drainage system in place, you can safely install additional amenities such as ceiling lights, a fan, or even a mounted television.
- By properly draining water from your deck area, you’ll extend the life of your deck and ensure it stays relatively dry

Reviews
I am very pleased with the material that was picked out for this project. That being said the matte black railing and tempered glass panels. Bromfields fence and deck installed it professionally. My neighbors just love the look and one asked for a quote.

AIM's staff were a pleasure to deal with. Fast response to our request for a quote and they actually came out and looked at what we wanted to do (most others didn’t). Thorough and competitive quote with some useful suggestions. We are very happy with the finished result.

The contractor C.R.G. did a wonderful job at putting some tiles on our deck. The original colour came and was horrible - not what showed in the store; so had to be returned and reordered. This made the contractor have to fit us in to his busy schedule; but it's now done and we love it. Hope it's not too slippery when cold and has snow or ice on top.

We had three recommendations for a contractor to rebuild our deck. Tyson from Chartrand Contracting was the only one to contact us. He came over when he said he would be here, gave us the estimate the same day, started the work when he said he would, and kept us informed when he had a problem with the supplier of the materials. His clean-up was impeccable, not a nail or a bit of sawdust was left behind. Good work!
