GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION


What is the Pro Xtra Program?
  • Pro Xtra is a loyalty program that offers a variety of benefits to its Members in appreciation of their business at The Home Depot Canada. All Members receive Purchase Tracking and can earn Quarterly Rewards, any way they pay. Pro Xtra Members also can register for Pro Referral to help grow their business. Plus, Members that use The Home Depot commercial card can also earn Fuel Savings, enjoy 365 day in-store returns, and enroll in 60-day payment terms for their The Home Depot commercial card account. See below for further details.

Who is eligible to enroll?
  • The Program is open to registered businesses in Canada. To be eligible for benefits like Fuel Savings, 365 day in-store returns, and 60-day payment terms (when you opt-in), the registered business must use a The Home Depot commercial card that is linked to their Pro Xtra Account.

What are the Program benefits?
  • All Members can enjoy benefits like Purchase Tracking, earning Quarterly Rewards, registering with Pro Referral to help grow their business and other exclusive Pro Xtra offers. Members who shop using the Home Depot commercial card can access to additional benefits including Fuel Savings,  60 day payment terms when you opt-in, and 365-day in-store returns.

Where can I sign up to Pro Xtra?
  • You can register to become a Pro Xtra Member by clicking here. To get access to the Fuel Savings, 365-day-in-store returns and 60 day payment terms benefits, Members must link The Home Depot commercial card. Members do not have to link the commercial card to get other benefits like Purchase Tracking, Quarterly Rewards and Pro Referral.

Is there a fee to join The Home Depot Pro Xtra Program?
  • There is no Membership fee to join The Home Depot Pro Xtra Program.

What is a Qualifying Purchase and Qualifying Paint Purchase under the Pro Xtra Program?
  • A Qualifying Purchase is a purchase made at The Home Depot retail stores in Canada or homedepot.ca, excluding taxes, prior purchases, cash advances, interest fees, delivery charges, warranties, protection agreements, billing fees and payments, purchases of gift cards, or purchases made at affiliates of The Home Depot. Qualifying Purchases do not include Qualifying Paint Purchases, which are purchases of select in-Stock and special order paints, stains or primers from BEHR®, KILZ®, CIL® and GLIDDEN® totalling $2,000 or more over 12 months, made by a Member (or Authorized Buyer as applicable) at The Home Depot retail stores in Canada and on homedepot.ca excluding taxes, prior purchases, cash advances, interest fees, delivery charges, warranties, protection agreements, billing, fees and payments, purchases of gift cards, or purchases made at affiliates of The Home Depot.

    Qualifying Purchases and Qualifying Paint Purchases are subject to change from time to time. Please confirm the then-current Terms and Conditions posted on this Website at the time of purchase.

What is my Pro Xtra ID?
  • Your Pro Xtra ID is your business phone number that’s tied to your Pro Xtra Online Account.  It can also be you’re the Home Depot commercial card if it’s linked to your Pro Xtra Online Account.  Your Pro Xtra ID uniquely identifies you at checkout to make sure you get rewarded for every Qualifying Purchase and Qualifying Paint Purchase you make at The Home Depot.  That’s why it’s so important that you use it every time you shop.

    Your Pro Xtra ID also tracks the purchases you make at The Home Depot. We provide this information to you through our online Purchase Tracking benefit.

    Here are three easy ways to use your Pro Xtra ID at checkout:

    1. Key in your business phone number during in-store checkout;
    2. Scan your digital Pro Xtra ID from your mobile device; or
    3. Link The Home Depot commercial card to your Pro Xtra Account and when you shop using The Home Depot commercial card, it also acts as your Pro Xtra ID.

    If you forget to use your Pro Xtra ID in-store, simply use the “Add Receipt” function on your Pro Xtra Online Account before the end of the current quarter.

I forgot (or my employee forgot) to use my Pro Xtra ID
  • No problem. Log in to your Pro Xtra Online Account and use the “Add a Receipt” function. It’s quick, easy and allows you to get credit for all of your Qualifying Purchases. To make sure your purchase counts towards your Quarterly Reward, be sure to add your receipts before the end of the current quarter.

    If you add your receipt after the quarter, but within 12 months, the transaction will count towards calculating your Quarterly Rewards Level.

    If you add your receipt after 12-months, your purchase will be included in your Purchase Tracking history but will not count towards your Quarterly Reward.

I need to change my business phone number. Will this affect my Pro Xtra ID?
  • Yes. When you change the business phone number associated with your Pro Xtra Account, your Pro Xtra ID will change. Log into your Pro Xtra Online Account and edit your account on the Preferences Tab. If you have employees that are using your Pro Xtra ID, you will also need to update them with your new Pro Xtra ID.

As an existing Pro Xtra Member with more than one company, I would like to register a second Pro Xtra Account. Can I use the same business phone number or business mobile phone number?
  • No. When you sign up for a new Pro Xtra Account, your business phone number becomes your Pro Xtra ID. As a result, you need to have a unique business phone number for each Pro Xtra Account that you have.

How do I share my Pro Xtra ID with my employees so they can help my company earn towards Pro Xtra Rewards?
  • There are three ways your employees can help you earn towards the Quarterly Reward. They can:

    1. Key in your business phone number during in-store checkout
    2. Scan your digital Pro Xtra ID from their mobile device
    3. Pay using The Home Depot commercial card that is linked to your Pro Xtra Online Account

    Or, if they forget to use your Pro Xtra ID in-store, they will need to send you their receipt. Then you can use the “Add a Receipt” function on your Pro Xtra Online Account before the end of the current Quarter to earn towards the Quarterly Reward.

Where can I view and access my Pro Xtra Rewards?
  • You can view access all of your Pro Xtra Rewards when you log into your Pro Xtra Online Account at homedepot.ca/proxtra.

Is the 12 months spend displayed in my Pro Xtra Online Account inclusive of tax?
  • No. The spend values shown here are pre-tax.

I lost my password to The Home Depot Pro Xtra website, what can I do?
  • Use the Forgot Your Password feature available here, or call the Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre at 1-800-759-2070.

Quarterly Rewards

What are Quarterly Rewards?
  • Quarterly Rewards are an exciting new benefit of Pro Xtra which lets Members earn rewards on Qualifying Purchases and Qualifying Paint Purchases, any way they pay:  with cash, debit, credit, gift card, or cheque when Members use their Pro Xtra ID.  The more you spend, the more you’ll earn towards your Quarterly Reward. Each quarter, the Quarterly Rewards you earn are automatically posted to your Pro Xtra Online Account in the form of a The Home Depot Gift Card.  Members will no longer collect Reward Points on purchases using their Home Depot commercial card.  

How do I earn Quarterly Rewards?
  • Earn Quarterly Rewards any way you pay on Qualifying Purchases and Qualifying Paint Purchases when you shop with use your Pro Xtra ID in The Home Depot Canada stores and on homedepot.ca.  

When and how are Quarterly Rewards automatically sent to me?
  • Quarterly Rewards valued at $10 or more are automatically issued to you four times a year, following the end of the quarter. Quarterly Rewards are issued in the form of electronic The Home Depot gift cards posted in your Pro Xtra Online Account. Quarters are outlined below:

    Quarter in which you earn towards your Quarterly Reward Month that your Quarterly Reward will be automatically posted to your Pro Xtra Online Account
    August 1 to October 31 First Week of November
    November 1 to January 31 First Week of February
    February 1 to April 30 First Week of May
    May 1 to July 31 First Week of August
How is my Tier Level calculated?
  • One of the exciting changes of the Pro Xtra program is how your Tier Level is calculated. Your Tier Level is based on Qualifying Purchases you make with your Pro Xtra ID in the last 12-months. That means that your Tier Level will no longer reset each year on your anniversary date, so you won’t lose your Tier Level if you maintain your spend level.

How does my Tier Level affect how I collect my Quarterly Reward?
  • Your Tier Level is based on all your Qualifying Purchases associated with your Pro Xtra ID over the last 12 months - which means the more you spend, the more you’re rewarded! You’ll automatically earn Quarterly Rewards, any way you pay, as follows:

    Qualifying Purchases Tier Level Quarterly Reward Collected
    $0 - $9,999 Silver Collect 0.5% of your spend within the qualifying Quarterly period
    $10,000 - $49,999 Gold Collect 2.0% of your spend within the qualifying Quarterly period
    $50,000 + Platinum Collect 4.0% of your spend within the qualifying Quarterly period

    Your Tier Level does not apply to Qualifying Paint Purchases. You can earn Quarterly Rewards based on Qualifying Paint Purchases you make, any way you pay, with your Pro Xtra ID as follows:

    $2,000 - $7,499 Collect 10% of your spend within the qualifying Quarterly period
    $7,500 - $19,999 Collected 15% of your spend within the qualifying Quarterly period

What happens if I shop online on homedepot.ca?
  • If you make a Purchase on homedepot.ca while you are logged in to your Pro Xtra Online Account, you will earn towards your Quarterly Rewards. If you are not logged in to your account, your purchase will not be tracked and your purchase will not qualify for rewards. 

I prefer a physical Gift Card to a digital Gift Card. Can you send me a physical Gift Card instead?
  • While digital Gift Cards are the default format for issuing you your Quarterly Reward, it is possible to change your preference and request a physical Gift Card instead. Please log in to your Pro Xtra Online Account and set your preference to physical Gift Card instead of digital Gift Card. Once you save your preferences, you will receive a physical Gift Card going forward. You will need to ensure that the mailing address in your Pro Xtra Online Account is accurate in order receive your Quarterly Reward.

What is a digital Gift Card and how do I use it?
  • A digital Gift Card is just like a physical Gift Card, but in electronic format. You can access your Quarterly Reward in digital Gift Card format on your Pro Xtra Online Account. If you access your Quarterly Reward on your mobile device, you will be able to view the digital Gift Card and scan it directly in store upon checkout. Or, you can print your Quarterly Reward from your computer and bring it in store to scan upon checkout. 

Can I earn towards my Quarterly Reward if I pay for my transaction using The Home Depot Gift Card?
  • Yes. When you shop in store at The Home Depot or online at homedepot.ca, you can earn towards your Quarterly Reward any way you pay: with cash, debit, credit, gift card, and cheque, when you use your Pro Xtra ID. The Home Depot website does not accept Home Depot eGift cards as a payment type.

Will my employee(s) with The Home Depot commercial card(s) be able to earn towards my Quarterly Reward when they make purchases with their Authorized Buyer cards?
  • Yes, so long as they use your Pro Xtra ID, (which includes The Home Depot commercial card linked to your Pro Xtra Account) when shopping. You can also use the ‘Add a Receipt’ function on your Pro Xtra Online Account before the end of the current quarter if they forget to scan your Pro Xtra ID. 

What should I do if I did not receive my Quarterly Reward?
  • Please log in to your Pro Xtra Online Account to check the status of your Quarterly Reward. If you have not received it in the month following the quarterly period in which it was earned, please contact the Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre at 1-800-759-2070 and an Agent will be happy to assist you. The Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Saturdays.

What is the minimum I need to earn to collect a Quarterly Reward?
  • Quarterly Rewards start at $10. Balances below $10 will not be issued. For balances greater than $10, a Quarterly Reward will be issued in increments of $1, rounded down to the nearest dollar. 

What happens to the balance of my Quarterly Reward if it is less than $10?
  • Balances below $10 will not be issued. Any unpaid balances are rounded down to the nearest dollar and will be carried forward towards the next Quarterly Reward.

How can I access my Quarterly Reward?
  • You can track and access your Quarterly Rewards within your Pro Xtra Online Account. You can access them directly on your mobile device and present them in-store at checkout, or you can print a copy of the electronic Gift Card and bring it in-store to use the same way you use your Gift Cards today! 

Can I use my Quarterly Reward to make online purchases?
  • Not at this time. 

Can I give my Quarterly Reward to someone else?
  • Yes. Your Quarterly Reward is posted to your Pro Xtra Online Account as a The Home Depot gift card which allows you to share it digitally, or print and share a physical version with anyone you like. Like a regular gift card, the balance on the gift card will be reduced each time it is used until there is a $0 balance.

Fuel Savings

What are Monthly Fuel Savings?
  • Monthly Fuel Savings are an exclusive benefit to Pro Xtra Members who have a valid The Home Depot commercial card. When you purchase motor fuel at participating Petro-Canada retail sites using your Monthly Fuel Savings Card, you can enjoy 10¢/litre fuel savings on litres earned on Qualifying Purchases with your The Home Depot commercial card.

How do I earn Monthly Fuel Savings?
  • By spending a monthly minimum of $100 (before tax) of Qualifying Purchases on your The Home Depot commercial card, you will earn litres of fuel to be loaded onto your Monthly Fuel Savings Card. The number of litres available for Monthly Fuel Savings accrues monthly for each Member based on the value of one percent (1%) of cumulative Qualifying Purchases over $100 converted to litres at a 10¢/litre rate in an applicable monthly period. Each month begins on the 16th day of the month, and ends on the 15th day of the following month. During the first week of the following calendar month, your Monthly Fuel Savings Card will be automatically reloaded with any additional earned litres.

    There is no limit to the amount of Monthly Fuel Savings that you can earn, and no expiry date. The earned litres will be added to any balance remaining on the card from the previous month. If you don’t use up all your Monthly Fuel Savings litres in one fill, your remaining balance may be used on future fuel purchases.You can check your Reward Points balance online anytime. Log in to your Pro Xtra account at www.homedepot.ca/proxtra, then go to the My Account page to see detailed deposits and redemptions on your account. The Customer Service Centre at 1 800-759-2070 can also provide up-to-date account activity information.

Do I get a Fuel Savings Card automatically when I sign up for Pro Xtra?
  • Because Monthly Fuel Savings are an exclusive benefit for Pro Xtra Members making purchases using The Home Depot commercial card, you will only receive a Fuel Savings Card automatically if you link a The Home Depot commercial card to your Pro Xtra Online Account when you sign up.  If you do not have a The Home Depot commercial card at the time of sign up, you can apply here. Once approved, you must link The Home Depot commercial card to your Pro Xtra Online Account and a Welcome Kit will be mailed to you with your Pro Xtra Fuel Savings Card.

Do I get a Fuel Savings Card automatically when I sign up for The Home Depot commercial card?
  • No. After you apply for The Home Depot commercial card, you must sign up for the Pro Xtra Program and link The Home Depot commercial card to your Pro Xtra Online Account. Once you have successfully linked The Home Depot commercial card to your Pro Xtra Online Account, you will be mailed a Welcome Kit with a Pro Xtra Fuel Savings Card.

When will I receive my Monthly Fuel Savings Card?
  • When you register in the Pro Xtra Program and the Membership is activated, you will be mailed a Welcome Kit containing your Monthly Fuel Savings Card. Please allow 2-5 weeks from the time of activation of your Pro Xtra Membership.

    If you are a Pro Xtra Member but have not yet received your Welcome Kit, please call the Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre at 1-800-759-2070.

How do I use my Monthly Fuel Savings Card?
  • To use your Monthly Fuel Savings Card at any participating Petro-Canada retail sites:

    1. If you have one, swipe your Petro-Points card first
    2. Use your Monthly Fuel Savings Card as the first payment card. Only one Monthly Fuel Savings Reward card or Preferred Price card can be used per transaction
    3. Complete your transaction using the payment method of your choice
    4. Your receipt will show you how much you’ve saved, and your savings balance remaining
Where can I find out my Pro Xtra Fuel Savings Card balance?
  • You can determine what the remaining balance on your Pro Xtra Fuel Savings Card is by:

    • Checking your Petro-Canada sales receipt. Your balance, in litres remaining eligible for savings, automatically adjusts with every transaction
    • Checking the Pay at the Pump screen for the available purchase balance prior to dispensing fuel
    • Visiting www.petro-canada.ca/preferredpricecardbalance. You will need your Card Number and Security Code (both can be found on the back of the card)
    • Calling The Home Depot’s Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre at 1-800-759-2070
I lost my Monthly Fuel Savings Card; how do I get a replacement?
  • For lost, stolen or damaged Monthly Fuel Savings Cards, please contact the Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre at 1-800-759-2070. Member Service representatives are available to assist you from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Saturdays.

Purchase Tracking

What is Purchase Tracking?
  • Purchase tracking is a Pro Xtra exclusive benefit that allows you to track, sort and export your purchases, any way you pay: with cash, debit, credit, gift card, or cheque when you use your new Pro Xtra ID. When you sign up to Pro Xtra, you will automatically get access the purchase tracking benefit. Purchases can be tracked starting the day your Pro Xtra account is created.

How do I use Purchase Tracking?
  • To use the Purchase Tracking benefit, key in or scan your Pro Xtra ID, every time you make a purchase in-store. To make a purchase online, log in to your Pro Xtra account before you check out. Both in-store and online purchases will automatically be tracked online in your Pro Xtra Online Account.

How do I access Purchase Tracking?
  • To access Purchase Tracking, log into your Pro Xtra Online Account and click on the purchase tracking tab. 

     

Up to how long can I track my purchases?
  • Pro Xtra Members can track their purchases for up to 2 years from the date of purchase. Only purchases made after signing up to Pro Xtra will be tracked.

     

Can I export this information in a document other than excel?
  • Not at this time. 

Does the amount shown on the Purchase Tracking page include taxes?
  • Yes. The total amount shown in Purchase Tracking is inclusive of taxes. You can find this amount under “Total Spend” on your purchase tracking page. You can also view your detailed receipts by clicking on the View Details icon and exporting your Purchase Details Data.

Do I get access to purchase tracking if I am an existing Pro Xtra Member?
  • Yes! Existing Pro Xtra Members with a Home Depot commercial card already have the Purchase Tracking benefit. Their purchases are tracked every time they shop with their Home Depot commercial card.

What if I am an existing Member and want to start tracking purchases on all tenders (not just The Home Depot commercial card)?
  • All Members can now track purchases, any way they pay: with cash, debit, credit, gift card, or cheque when they use their new Pro Xtra ID.

Will my purchases still count toward other benefits like Reward Points, 60 Day Terms and Fuel Savings if I don’t use my The Home Depot commercial card to pay?
  • No. You must still use your Home Depot commercial card to get 60 day terms (opt-in required), Fuel Savings and 365 day in-store returns.

How long will it take for my return and exchange to reflect within my purchase tracking details?
  • It will take up to 48 hours to reflect any returns or exchanges in your purchase tracking details.

60-Day Payment Terms for The Home Depot Commercial Card

How do I enroll my The Home Depot commercial card Account into 60 Day Terms?
  • Pro Xtra Members with a valid The Home Depot commercial card in good standing must log into their Pro Xtra account on homedepot.ca and opt-in to the 60-day payment terms. The Home Depot commercial cardholders may opt into the payment terms when they enroll into Pro Xtra at www.homedepot.ca/proxtra. If you enroll a commercial Revolving Card account, minimum monthly payments are required and interest will begin on unpaid balances after 60 days. If you enroll a commercial Account, you will have 60 days to pay each invoice in full. The 60-day payment feature will be visible on statements up to two billing cycles from the date of enrollment and will only apply to future purchases. To return your account to 30-day terms, please call the customer service number on the back of your credit card.

Reward Points

Am I still collecting Reward Points?
  • Effective October 22, 2018, Members will no longer collect Reward Points on qualifying purchases. Instead, Members will earn Quarterly Rewards. You can learn more about Quarterly Rewards and how they work below.

How do I redeem my existing Reward Points?
  • To redeem Reward Points for select gift cards, log into your Pro Xtra account and browse through the current Gift Card Rewards catalogue and then use the Redemption Cart function on this site to redeem. Redemption is available online and through the Customer Service Centre at 1-800-759-2070.

What will happen to the Reward Points I’ve collected so far?
  • You worked hard to collect your Reward Points and we understand that – so you will maintain your balance until you’re ready to redeem. While you will no longer earn Reward Points as of October 22, 2018 you can continue to redeem your existing Reward Points for Gift Card Rewards online or by calling the Pro Xtra Customer Service Centre at 1-800-759-2070.
